Very easy and effective once you find the correct butane can

Frighteningly effective once I found a butane canister that fits. My first time with a small handheld torch, and I fired it up not knowing what to expect, thinking it would be fun for cooking and craft projects. It lights one handed, though I keep the other hand ready to adjust the flame since it throws a blue hot jet. Be careful until you get the feel for it. I have singed meringue peaks and browned steaks with it. Easy, effective, and fun. All of this would have been smoother if a compatible can came with the torch head, or if the listing said which cans fit. One star off for hunting down fuel.

Butane torch works well, and is adjustable.

Ignition is easy, the flame adjusts, and it is a handy thing for the kitchen or the craft room. Meringue was my first test and it browned quickly and neatly. Well made and durable, though you supply the fuel yourself.

    Solid Kitchen Torch

Really impressed so far. It feels solid, lights reliably, and gives a strong adjustable flame for creme brulee, searing, and roasting peppers. Dialing it in is easy and it is comfortable to hold. Worth knowing that butane is not included, so buy a standard canister first. Great quality for the price and more premium than the cheap options.
