Onyx - 5 Qt All Purpose Chef Pan with Cover

I found Techef cookware Onyx collection on Amazon 7 years ago when I was looking for Black Friday deals for cookware. On a whim I decided to give it a try and ordered a wok and a 5 qt pot and this was the best money I have ever spent.I cook every other day sometimes after 2 days and I have used the same wok and pot for 7 years!!! I always hand wash my pots and use non stick or wooden spoons. I have pans and pots from other mid range brands too but their quality does not come close to Techef.Earlier this year I noticed that both my wok and pot non stick coating is coming off and food was sticking. It was time to buy a new one. I can’t believe it lasted me 7 years.Last month I ordered a wok and 5 qt pot from Techef Onyx collection at full price. I did not even bothered to shop around for any other brands.I’m happy that the quality and design is still the same as it was 7 years ago. Techef have other collections too but since I have used Onyx collection and it lasted me forever so I bought the same one.I have to say that not only I’m impressed with the product but with their customer service too. I had some questions so I contacted their customer support and they emailed back to me within 24 hours. Very professional and courteous.I highly recommend Techef products especially Onyx collection since I have been using it for years now and I’m sure their other collections are also very good.

This is my 3rd one of these pans, ordered in 2018, 2020 and 2023. The non-stick feature makes it easy to cook many things that might stick in other types of pans. I use them 2-4 times a week but have found the non-stick starts to diminish after about 18 months. Still, that's a lot of cooking for a lower-cost pan so I still feel it's worth it. I am trying to make sure I don't use very high heat this time to see if I can prolong the life of my newest one. I have never put one in the dishwasher and never will.

I use this to cook everything. Frozen meals in a bag, rice, chicken, pork- it works for so many different things. It's a great size and very durable. I usually put it in the dishwasher, and nothing bad has happened yet, but to prolong its life it should be hand washed. I don't notice any scratches in it from the month I've used it.

I couldn't wait to use my new pan and was so happy with how non-stick it is. And I really like that it doesn't have a long handle that always seemed to get in my way with my skillets. The handles stay cool and that is nice.

After about six months of daily use the handle developed a slight wobble at one of the rivets. The nonstick still performs well but a loose handle on a pan full of hot liquid is concerning. Contacting customer service now.
