Mostly works well, though with pork belly or other fatty meats the fat does not drip into the reservoir properly. Otherwise it grills nicely, offers good value, and is easy to use. Not too heavy and a sponge cleans it.
Heat is the main problem for me on a gas stove, because the way this is built puts the griddle plate quite far from the flame, so it never gets hot enough to cook the meat properly. The anti smoke idea is clever, and it only counts if I can actually cook meat on it. Mine also came dented, though it looks good overall.
No smoke to speak of, easy to use, and the quality is great.
