This is my fifth ceramic pan and the first I'd buy again. The other four died the same way, going blotchy through the middle inside a year. This one is past that mark and still behaving like it did in week one.
Coil elements heat in rings and that unevenness is precisely what buckled the base of my last pan. This one has sat on mine daily since autumn and still meets the element flush all the way across.
