Appearances may not matter much in cookware, and this is still a beautiful pot. The color is nice and it is very well made. The base is quite unique, as it is on the rest of the TeChef range. I have cooked a few dishes in it and they turned out well and cleaned up easily, since the pot has no rivets. Pros: high quality in both materials and looks, and genuinely distinctive, so you can tell it is well made the moment you pick it up and you are unlikely to see someone else with the same pot. It heats evenly as long as you give it time. No rivets means cleanup is a breeze. And it comes with a matching lid. Cons: the handles are very short, which makes it hard to hold with one hand, and that is fairly clear from the photo but worth keeping in mind, because going from a standard pot with one long handle to something like this shows you how used to one handed pouring you had become. TeChef also recommends against high heat, which lengthens the time it takes to boil liquid, so if that matters to you look for something without a Teflon coating. Lastly, the included lid is not the same style as the lids TeChef sells separately, and it would be fantastic if it had the stand up feature those have.
