Already owned a TECHEF pan and wanted the pot to match. No regrets. Same feel, same performance.
Carrying it full of soup is manageable, and empty it doesn't feel flimsy. I've owned pots that felt tippy when loaded and pots so heavy I dreaded moving them. Five quarts at this weight lands right in between, which is where you want it for everyday cooking.
Took me two or three goes to work out the right heat settings for ceramic. After that it became the pot I reach for first. The release is genuinely excellent and the glass lid makes watching a soup much easier. There is a learning curve, but it's short and worth getting through.
