Replaces and surpasses my old go-to 2 quart nonstick saucepan. The quality and heat distribution are excellent, it cleans more easily in the dishwasher, and the latest Teflon technology appears durable. It also has a nice, form-fitting glass cover, which my older one didn't. There's a small vent hole in the lid, and at first I worried it wouldn't maintain internal pressure and temperature for rice, but it made no difference to the time or temperature for my perfect rice recipe. A web search notes the vent hole is generally found on high-end cookware and stops tight lids rattling and spewing out at the sides when foam rises and pressure increases quickly.
Genuinely happy with the Onyx collection pans, and I can't think of any cons.
Lovely item. It has a small dent in the top, but otherwise it works as advertised.
