Onyx - Frying Pan with Lid

Three weeks in and I've been using this constantly with great results. I'd avoided non-stick pans for a while over safety worries, but after digging into it, it seems the coating process has been sorted out and shouldn't pose a health risk, especially with the platinum Teflon coating used here — that's ultimately why I went with this one. Mostly I've cooked pancakes and veggie burgers on it, and it's performed great. I've been hand-washing so far, though it's supposedly sturdy enough for the dishwasher if placed carefully.

Does what it says on the box: cooks well, and you can grab the handle without reaching for a mitt.

It had been so long since I used a properly functioning non-stick pan that I'd forgotten what that actually feels like — water and oil genuinely bead up on the surface. When cheese got scorched onto the pan during a steak dinner, it slid right off with barely a nudge from my wooden spatula. One pet peeve of mine is handles that heat up, which is why I avoid Calphalon, but this one stays cool throughout. Update after a year of near-daily cooking: still performing like new, no peeling or chipping, and cleanup takes just a minute even though it's never seen the inside of a dishwasher.
